On August 8, 2026, at the Government Headquarters, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuong – General Director of ETEK Automation Solutions JSC and Executive Committee Member of HAMI – attended a working session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang to discuss and address challenges faced by businesses in the areas of tax and customs.

ETEK and the Business Community Contribute Recommendations on Tax and Customs

The working session focused on key issues affecting businesses in their manufacturing, trading, and import-export activities. Representatives of HAMI and the business community raised recommendations related to value-added tax (VAT) refunds, customs procedures, tax policies, and taxation on input materials. These recommendations were based on practical challenges faced by businesses and aimed to promote a more transparent, consistent, and favorable business environment while reducing the time and costs associated with tax and customs compliance. Such improvements are particularly important for manufacturing, industrial, and automation companies seeking to strengthen their competitiveness and expand their business operations.

The session was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phu – Chairman of HAMI – together with representatives from HAMI member companies.
