This vision, shared by ETEK and many supporting industries in Vietnam, was articulated by Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Thưởng, CEO of ETEK, at the recent conference "Promoting localisation and developing VinFast’s supplier network" held at Almaz Convention Center, Vinhomes Riverside, Hanoi.
The event, organised by VinFast, was a strategic initiative aimed at accelerating localisation efforts, outlining a roadmap to increase the local content ratio to 80% by 2026, and expanding the supplier network to achieve its ambitious production goal of one million vehicles per year. VinFast also pledged to sign direct contracts, facilitate partnerships with international firms, and most notably, guarantee product offtake, establishing a stable foundation for local enterprises.

Support initiatives announced by VinFast
During the event, VinFast unveiled several key support policies for the Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises:
Land lease incentives
- 50% reduction on land lease fees for the first 3 years
- 20% reduction over the subsequent 5 years
- Applicable to partners investing in factory construction within VinFast’s automotive manufacturing complexes in Hải Phòng and Hà Tĩnh
Output commitment
VinFast guarantees the purchase of partner products in accordance with jointly agreed production plans.
International collaboration support
VinFast will connect Vietnamese enterprises with foreign partners to foster technology transfer and knowledge sharing, enhancing international competitiveness and enabling active participation in global supply chains.
These measures mark a critical turning point, ushering in a new era of sustainable growth for Vietnam’s automotive industry and the national industrial sector as a whole.
