VAA and ETEK Collaborate to Drive Innovation and Develop High-Quality Human Resources
On the afternoon of April 15, within the framework of developing the VAA Business Ecosystem, the leadership of the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA) visited and held a working session with ETEK Automation Solutions Joint Stock Company (ETEK). The meeting aimed to align cooperation strategies in innovation, strengthen business connectivity in the science and technology sector, and promote the development of high-quality human resources in automation.

Sharing about the importance of connecting domestic automation enterprises, Mr. Do Nguyen Hung stated that, on the path of integration, many domestic automation enterprises are facing difficulties in technology markets, high-quality human resources, and management capacity.

Facing such urgent and fundamental requirements, VAA has developed the VAA Business Ecosystem Project to connect enterprises in science, technology, and automation, enabling them to support and promote each other in digital transformation, innovation, and integration.

With the goal of forming a science and technology enterprise ecosystem, where member enterprises meet digital transformation standards according to the VSMI - VAA Smart Maturity Index, ETEK is one of the member enterprises with strong strategic vision and technological solutions aligned with the development requirements of the Association in general and the VAA Business Ecosystem in particular.

Accordingly, VAA expects closer linkage between the Association and its members, including ETEK, in the coming time; jointly developing solutions and strategies to create collective strength for Vietnamese technology enterprises, contributing to strengthening the Association domestically and building credibility internationally.

Appreciating the recognition from the VAA General Secretary, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuong - CEO of ETEK, said that over more than 20 years of establishment and development, ETEK has been developing in a multi-sector direction, following the model of foreign technology enterprises. ETEK possesses a system of products and solutions formed through R&D and technology transfer, bearing a strong imprint of a technology enterprise. In addition, ETEK always focuses on training and developing high-quality human resources in a green - digital - smart direction, aligned with the practical needs of enterprises and the domestic labor market in the integration period.

However, ETEK is also facing common difficulties and challenges, namely the shortage of engineers and high-quality human resources. Although ETEK already has a quality workforce, according to its development strategy, the company needs a larger and higher-quality workforce, with sufficient skills, knowledge, and technological competence, as well as continuous innovative thinking to keep up with the rapid transformation of the digital era.

With that expectation, ETEK recognizes that strengthening connections within the VAA Business Ecosystem is essential to enhance internal strength and create a strong “push” for the domestic technology business community.

Affirming that enterprise connection within the VAA Business Ecosystem is an open connection with enterprises at the center, all results (even the smallest) in the connection process are jointly measured, monitored, and periodically evaluated by VAA and its member enterprises, providing a basis for adjusting policies and action programs during implementation; Mr. Do Nguyen Hung stated that the working session between VAA and ETEK marked a harmonious coordination and a strong connection both in depth and breadth, aiming at the common goal of developing a strong technology business community.

The bottleneck for technology enterprises today is the challenge of training high-quality human resources in a green - digital - smart direction. The uneven internal capacity of enterprises, especially in terms of quantity and quality of human resources and technology management, along with loose connections within the domestic technology business community, has prevented enterprises from creating collective strength and developing synchronized strategies to address this issue.

The VAA General Secretary stated that with close linkage among technology enterprises, the problem of human resource training can be completely solved. Not only limited to training, models of technology transfer, as well as human resource transfer and exchange based on projects, can be implemented in a structured and scientific manner.

With its strong connectivity and existing close relationships with institutes, universities, technology training centers, and reputable startup ecosystems both domestically and internationally, VAA will provide specific solutions and practical approaches to help enterprises overcome difficulties, especially challenges related to high-quality human resources.

At the same time, VAA will continue to promote its role as a connector within its member enterprises and between the VAA Business Ecosystem and other business ecosystems domestically and internationally. VAA will accompany its member enterprises in achieving each goal, designing roadmaps and action programs tailored to each group of enterprises, fully meeting the needs of research, training, manufacturing, and commercialization of products.

For VAA to fully realize these roles, the companionship of core enterprises such as ETEK is extremely important. The working session between VAA and ETEK affirms a long-term strategy with many practical solutions, focusing on human resource development, corporate culture development, and enriching and expanding the VAA Business Ecosystem.

Affirming internal strength, a spirit of openness, and a mindset of continuous strategic innovation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuong emphasized: “ETEK’s greatest strength is its execution mindset, turning ideas into action and applying them in real life. Enterprises connected within the ecosystem first and foremost benefit themselves. When sharing the same ecosystem, enterprises will have more opportunities to exchange and support each other in all aspects, contributing real and practical values to the domestic technology business community.”

Mr. Thuong also affirmed that ETEK is ready to accompany VAA, strengthen core values, and contribute to building a strong and sustainable VAA Business Ecosystem.
